If you or a household member receives an income-related benefit, have an existing boiler with radiators, and don’t live in social housing, you may be eligible for heating controls. This support is available for privately owned or rented properties across Great Britain, including park homes.
With this offer, you’ll get a free digital timer to make sure your heating only runs when needed. You’ll also benefit from a free room thermostat that switches off the system once the ideal temperature is reached. In addition, we provide free thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs) to help control the temperature in individual rooms.
If you already have some of these heating controls, we can upgrade them for free. Where needed, we may also be able to replace your boiler at no cost.
Please be aware that all grants depend on a survey, available funding, and specific terms and conditions. In certain cases, the grant might not fully cover the cost, and a contribution could be necessary. This will be clarified following your free survey.
